The LeRoy Neiman Foundation is pleased to unveil the latestLeRoy Neiman Art Studio, at Sol Collective in Sacramento, California.

Founded in 2005, Sol Collective is a community-based not-for-profit, centering on providing cultural programming (ranging from workshops in arts and graphic design to gardening and music production) to underprivileged and underrepresented youths. These events—hosted in the organization’s capacious 3,200 project space—focus on“amplify[ing] the voice[s] of underrepresented communities,” by often partnering with professional mentors from around the nation and world, “as a means of [local and global] community building and personal empowerment.”

The LeRoy Neiman Foundation is then proud to take part in Sol Collective’s capacious space and mission. Carving out a permanent hub, the foundation envisions this Neiman Art Studio as vibrant social space and creative center that Sacramento youths can look to for

artistic expression and enrichment, complementing the California organization’s programming.

The Neiman Art Studio at Sol Collective will be the eighth arts center established between the LeRoy Neiman Foundation in partnership with Good Tidings (a charity, headed by Larry Harper, seeking to develop interests of underprivileged children); it is the eighthNeiman Art Studio in the California, where Good Tidings is located.

The studio was dedicated on August 22, 2018 and the first art class was led by Sacremento Kings’ Center, Willie Cauley Stein, who is an art ambassador for Good Tidings.
